With apologies to James Tiberious Kirk (and a tip of the hat to Leonard Nimoy), we have to wonder if Mercedes and its high-performance AMG division isn’t wailing the name of Kahn Design right about now. You see, the enterprising (yep, pun unapologetically intended) British firm has aped the looks and intentions of the Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6 with this, the Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6×6 Concept.
As you can see, it’s got six wheels, each of them driven, naturally. It’s also got a burly 6.2-liter General Motors LS3 V8 under its elongated hood, putting down 430 horsepower to the aforementioned wheels. While it sadly doesn’t feature the portal axles of the Mercedes model, we have little doubt that nothing short of a tank trap is going to keep this Flying Huntsman at bay when the going goes off-road.
While Kahn is currently calling this machine a concept, we expect production versions, in both four-and six-wheeled variants, in relatively short order. Check out the image gallery above for more.
