In case you missed it last year, the Tesla Model S underwent some aesthetic changes at the hands of Hong Kong’s own RevoZport, where it was fitted with the somewhat subtle R-Zentric Aerokit.
This car is 40 mm wider than the factory model thanks to the carbon fiber fender extenders, front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and trunk spoiler. As a direct result, it’s also better looking from some angles. Some.
It’s also riding on a set of Klassen ID Forged wheels, measuring 22×9.5 at the front and 22×11 at the rear – which give it a very stylish look. Not that it ever needed help in that department.
Inside, RevoZport installed a rear entertainment console and used even more carbon fiber for the seat back covers. We will point out again that they just figured out a way to make an iPod stand still between the front seats. They didn’t re-engineer the console from scratch.
Still, overall this is an attractive package, but mainly because the Tesla Model S is a very good looking car. We could argue just as easily that it needs no exterior modifications and that the R-Zentric kit does nothing but mess with its elegant lines.
RevoZport say that the aero kit will improve the Model S’ cornering grip, only we’re not sure who these people are that are using this as a track-day car. Sure, some take the P85D version out on the drag strip or on the highway to (illegally) take on supercars from either a standing or a rolling start, but that’s as far as they dare to venture.
