Jann Mardenborough has been released from hospital after the Nurburgring Nordschleife accident in which a spectator died on Saturday, while GT3 cars have been temporarily banned from the famous track.
Mardenborough’s Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 became airborne in the accident at the Flugplatz corner, hitting the barriers and then flipping over the debris fence.
One spectator was killed and others were taken to hospital, with the last two released on Sunday.
The Nissan had been contesting the opening round of the VLN endurance series in preparation for its Nurburgring 24 Hours entry this year.
A Nissan statement said: “After the terrible events during yesterday’s VLN race, Nissan is pleased to have received information that the two injured spectators have been released from hospital.
