GT: Dirk Müller and Maxime Martin to compete in the Blancpain Sprint Series.
BMW works drivers Maxime Martin (BE) and Dirk Müller (DE) will make a guest appearance in the Blancpain Sprint Series in Nogaro (FR) on the Easter weekend, when they will race in the BMW Z4 GT3 fielded by BMW Sports Trophy Team Brasil. Martin and Müller will share the cockpit of the number 77 car. The Brazilian team’s second BMW Z4 GT3 will be driven by brothers Rodrigo and Ricardo Sperafico (both BR). “I am looking forward to spending a weekend with the BMW Z4 GT3 in the Sprint Series,” said Martin. “I know the Nogaro circuit well. It is a real challenge. However, I think we are well placed to do well with BMW Sports Trophy Team Brasil. Müller added: “The Blancpain Sprint Series features a strong field, and it will be an exciting weekend. However, we are well prepared: I know the BMW Z4 GT3 very well and BMW Sports Trophy Team Brasil has a lot of experience in this series. I am looking forward to competing with Maxime and the team.”
DTM: first delivery of the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition.
This special car is bound to catch the eye on the road: the first delivery of a BMW Z4 DTM Champion Edition to a customer took place this week in BMW Welt, in Munich (DE). With this exclusive special edition, BMW M GmbH is paying homage to the success achieved by BMW DTM works driver Marco Wittmann (DE), the reigning DTM champion. The paintwork and other distinctive features are in line with Wittmann’s Ice-Watch BMW M4 DTM. Only a very limited number of the special edition are available: in keeping with the number of the car, with which Wittmann claimed the DTM title, only 23 models of this premium sports car will be made. Each model is numbered consecutively. The cars have been ordered by BMW M customers all over the world, and were snapped up in no time at all. The number one car was reserved for the champion himself: Wittmann also received his BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition in BMW Welt at the end of February.
