Honda has brought on outside help to get to the bottom of a major safety issue.
The Japanese automaker has enlisted Exponent, an engineering consulting company that was also used by Toyota during its recall crisis in 2010, to look into the cause of rupturing airbags made by Takata. A total of 25 million vehicles have been recalled worldwide over this issue, with Honda USA calling back about 5.4 million cars.
