Michael Shank Racing Ligier driver Oswaldo Negri Jr claimed the top spot in final free practice ahead of Friday afternoon’s qualifying session for the Sebring 12 Hours.
The Brazilian, who was on pole for the opening round of the Tudor United SportsCar Championship at Daytona in January, set a best time 1m52.096s aboard the MSR Ligier-Honda JSP2.
That put him nearly half a second ahead of Joao Barbosa in the lead Action Express Racing Coyote-Chevrolet Corvette DP, which finished on 1m52.588s at the end of the one-hour session.
The Judd/BMW-engined Ligier LMP2 coupe fielded by Krohn Racing, which had been fastest in practice sessions two and three, ended up third in Nic Jonsson’s hands on a 1m52.797s.
